The challenge
Users currently need a simple way to add explanatory voiceovers to their Mozaik video projects. Voiceovers are useful for tutorials, explainer videos, social media clips, and other formats where a narrator or protagonist explains what is visible on screen through an audible audio track.
Today, users do not have a dedicated workflow for quickly recording or adding a voiceover directly inside the Mozaik video editor. This can force them to use external recording tools or prepare audio outside Mozaik before adding it to a project.
Our approach
Enable users to add a dedicated voiceover track to their video project inside the Mozaik editor.
This should support two main workflows:
Record a voiceover directly in Mozaik: Users should be able to quickly record their own voice while editing a video project by speaking into their laptop or computer microphone. The recorded audio should be added to the project as a voiceover track.
Upload an existing voiceover file: Users should be able to upload existing audio files, such as MP3 or WAV files, when they already have a prepared voiceover track.
Expected impact
Easier creation of tutorials, explainer videos, and narrated social media videos
Less need for external audio recording or editing tools
Faster workflows for adding narration to video projects
More creative control over the final video audio experience
