The challenge
Right now every finished video is rendered in Full HD (1080p), regardless of how high the quality of your source footage was. If you record or upload material in a higher resolution, that extra quality isn't carried through to the export — the final video is effectively brought down to Full HD. Teams that work to a higher production standard, or that need a crisper result for large screens or client delivery, currently have no way to keep or choose a higher output quality.
Our approach
Let's let you choose the output quality of your videos instead of always rendering to a fixed Full HD. You'd be able to select a higher quality level — beyond 1080p — for your renderings and exports whenever you need it, so the finished video better reflects the quality of the footage you started with.
Expected impact
Export your videos in higher quality than Full HD when your footage supports it
Keep more of your original footage quality in the finished video
Match the output to your production standard, whether for large screens or client delivery
