AI Automations are Mozaik's automation layer for video. They let you turn a repeating video workflow into a process that runs on its own, so your team can produce far more video with far less manual work.
What an AI Automation is
An AI Automation is a workflow you set up once and reuse again and again. Each automation starts with a trigger — an event that kicks things off, such as a new recording being uploaded — followed by a series of steps that do the work: cleaning up audio, applying your brand kit elements, removing pauses, adding captions, and exporting the finished video. Once it is set up, the automation runs those steps automatically every time the trigger fires.
Why they matter
Most video work is repetitive: the same editing, branding, and export steps, over and over. AI Automations take that repetitive work off your plate so you can:
Produce more video without adding headcount
Keep every video on-brand and consistent
Free your team to focus on the creative parts that actually need a person
The more videos you make in the same format, the more time you save.
Where to find them
You will find AI Automations in the left-hand navigation, under AI Automations. It opens its own workspace with four tabs:
Automations — the list of your automations, and the folders you organize them in
Runs — a history of each time an automation has run
Connections — the external apps and services your automations connect to
Variables — reusable values your automations can use
From here you can create a new automation with Create New, bring one in with Import, and switch any automation on or off with its status toggle.
Good to know: You don't have to start from a blank flow. In the AI Automations view, click Create New → Start from Template to open Browse Templates — a library of ready-made, maintained automations (for example, AI Captions Creator or AI Video Editor For Projects) you can use as a starting point.
What you can automate
AI Automations are built for video workflows that repeat in a fixed format. Common examples:
Turning collected testimonial recordings into finished, on-brand videos
Generating subtitle versions in several languages
Producing a recruiting video for every open role
Optimizing audio on every upload automatically
Turning recurring customer questions into FAQ videos
You stay in control
You decide how much of each workflow runs automatically and where your team steps in. Automations can handle anything from a single step — like branding or audio cleanup — all the way up to a full end-to-end process, and every result stays editable afterwards.
Good to know: Building an automation, connecting apps, reviewing runs, and the different levels of automation are each covered in their own articles. This one is just the big picture.
